Summary
The Bible clearly teaches that three areas must work
together for us to obtain salvation:
God's grace:
Ephesians 2:8,
2 Timothy 1:9,
Romans 3:24.
Man's faith:
Galatians 3:26,
Philippians 3:9,
Hebrews 10:38.
Man's actions:
Hebrews 11,
James 2:24,
1 John 3:18,
1 John 2:4-6,
Romans 2:13.
God's grace makes salvation available to us. We must
be willing to show God that we believe in order to obtain this gift.
We must then demonstrate this faith by obeying His commands. Anyone
can say that they believe. But actions show the truth. When you
follow God's steps -- hear, believe, repent, confess, be baptized,
and obey -- you can be peaceful, secure, and happy in knowing that
you are in the right relationship with God and that heaven awaits
you. |
