Brian Anderson - Traders Point Evangelist

11-Nov-2005

After nearly a year of searching for a full time preacher at Traders Point, Brian Anderson of Orleans, Indiana was selected and accepted the position.  Brian will begin his duties on Sunday, November 13, as he will preach both the morning and evening sermons that day.   He and his family will be commuting on Sundays and Wednesdays until they are able to sell their house and move into the Indianapolis-Brownsburg area.

Brian was born and raised in the small southern Indiana town of Pekin where his mother and father still live and are members of the Pekin Church of Christ.  He received his BS degree  from Purdue in 1988 and MBA from the University of Dayton in 1995.  He began preaching in 1993 on a part time basis at the Laurel Canyon church of Christ in Columbus, Ohio.  Brian began preaching full time at the Shelbyville church of Christ in 1996.  He then began working with the Orleans church in June of 2000.  During the last seven years of full time preaching he has held over 50 meetings throughout the Midwest and Canada.  He has had articles published in Truth magazine, Faith and Facts, and Gospel Truths.

Brian met his wife Peggy at the Southport Church of Christ during the summer of 1989.  They were married in May of 1991.  Brian turned 39 in June and Peggy was 36 on July 1.  They have three children; Billy 10, Emma 9 and Ben 7.

The church at Traders Point is excited to have Brian and Peggy and their family join them in the work of the Lord.   Various families are having them into their homes to get to know them better as they spend the afternoon on Sundays before returning to Orleans in the evening.  It is hoped that they soon will find a home here and be a part of the community.  They certainly will be a welcome addition to the church here and all are looking forward to hearing many fine lessons from the Word of God.
