TP deacons appointed

The appointment of eleven men to the position of deacon concluded a process beginning many months ago to re-establish the church at Traders Point in the way God designed it to be. The names of these men were put before the congregation at the conclusion of Sunday evening services on December 2nd. These men were chosen and enthusiastically accepted the challenge to serve in this capacity, assisting the elders and the congregation in such a way to encourage spiritual growth and to help the church function as God intended.

At the end of services Sunday evening, December 16, elder Ted Stauffer stepped to the podium to discuss the appointment of those eleven men. Those men, who came to the front of the auditorium while Ted made comments to the congregation were Tyson Bacon, David Beltz, Marcus Boone, Mike Clemons, Ed Hill, Donn Koonce, Matt Maudlin, Mike Puckett, Gregg Shaw, Adam Walthall and Calvin Young. No one presented any objections to any of these men serving as deacons and it is expected that much good work will be accomplished in the coming months and years as these men serve in this capacity. After the closing prayer, many members came forward to offer heart-felt words of encouragement to the new deacons.
