Matt Johnson to provide emphasis on music

Matt Johnson of Gainesville, Florida, is coming to Traders Point to provide encouragement and training in both singing and song leading.   The congregation is looking forward to Matt and his family joining them for this important spiritual weekend of song and praise to the Lord.  Matt and his wife, Jessica, have been married for five years.  They have two children, Titus and Lily.  Matt is a tenured professor at Florida College near Tampa.   He worked as a speech, debate and theatre professor there until 2005 when they moved to Gainesville, where they now work with the Glen Springs Road church of Christ.

Brother Johnson's approach to music focuses on the abilities of "regular" people to sing with the spirit and understanding (1 Cor 14:15) so that our worship in song can be everything it ought to be.  His lessons for the weekend meeting of January 18-20 will be as follows:
