- Introduction
- John's glimpse into the throne room of heaven... (Rev. 4-5)
- Echoing the sentiment of the heavenly host, David expounded upon Jehovah's worthliness to be glorified (Ps. 145)
- Our glorious Lord. (Ps. 145)
- "I will bless Your name forever and ever" (v. 1-2)
- "His greatness is unsearchable." (v. 3-7)
- "The Lord is good to all." (v. 8-16)
- "The Lord is righteous in all His ways..." (v. 17-20)
- When we come to see these things, there is only one natural response of a truly humble heart... (v. 21; cf. Lk. 7:16; 13:13; 17:15-16; 18:43)
- Our glorious calling
- We have seen the glory of God (Rom. 6:4; Mt. 9:12-13; Acts 26:18)
- We are the beneficiaries... (1 Cor. 2:7; 2 Cor. 3:18; Rom. 8:30)
- We belong doubly to God... (1 Tim. 1:12-17; 1 Cor. 6:20; 10:31)
- Conclusion
- The God of the Bible is worthy of every ascription of praise, honor, and glory within our abilities to give, and so much more!
- Let us never leaver God asking of us, "Then if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My respect? (Mal. 1:6)
- Rather, as the people of God, let us continually glorify Him... (Heb. 13:15; Rom. 12:1 Ex. 15:2)
