1. The Body of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23)
   • Statement concerning authority. (v. 22; Mt. 28:18; Col. 3:17; cf.2:19)
   • Description of function. (cf. Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12:12-27)
2. The Body of the Reconciled (Eph. 2:1-22)
   • Personally, individually. (v. 1-10; cf. Rom. 5:6-11)
   • But also nationally. i.e. Jews and Gentiles (v. 11-22)
   • Formerly not possible, but now it is, in Christ
3. The Mystery Revealed (Eph. 3:1-19)
   • As revealed to and preached by the apostle Paul (v. 1-7)
   • According the eternal purpose of God (v. 8-13; 1 Pet. 1:10-12)
   • Considering our time in history, it is cause for awe. (v. 14-21)
